It’s a natural part of being human to have our minds on the move.
Our brains, that’s what they do. They think. Each one of us have up to 70,000 thoughts per day and those of us with social anxiety have a good number of them focused on stuff that’s probably never even going to happen.
The worst part about it is that when we awfulize outcomes, we don’t engage in life.
How about if this time, just for kicks, we imagine the “what if’s” turning out good beyond our wildest dreams.
Would we be more likely to live life to the fullest?
In my experience—which, at this stage of the game, is LOTS—it is much easier to jump into something when we think it is going to turn out well.
Of course, your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not that will happen, but what I do know 100% is that every time we engage we have a 50/50 shot.
When we don’t engage, our shot at living the life we dream of is a big fat ZERO.
Let’s think through some positive “what if’s,” instead of holding steady on the negative side.
I’m challenging you to think differently and let’s #DoThisThing, together.
